Lenten Studies Waiapu Lenten Studies 2018. A six-session Lenten Studies in Mark (and John). Starting this Sunday 18th February –Lent 1, after 9.30am Service (no cost).

Lay Licence Training Day: Saturday 17th March at St Barnabas, Ngongotaha from 9.30am. Engaging with the Bible - how do we read it? All welcome (No licence needed). Transport? – Bonnie 575 9930.

2018 Missions Lenten Appeal:
This year Missions will be supporting
Savior Evangelical School in Jordan - serving vulnerable children from poor communities in Jordan; Arab Episcopal School in Jordan – serving blind children through education in Jordan; Rwenzori Special Needs Foundation in Uganda - serving vulnerable children with disabilities in a very poor region of Uganda.
An envelope is included in your pew sheet for donations please.

CYCLONE GITA - RELIEF APPEAL: Please remember the peoples of American Samoa, Fiji, Samoa and Tonga in your prayers as they recover from Cyclone Gita. The storm caused extensive damage, especially in Tonga. Christian World Service (CWS) has launched an appeal to help in Tonga.

Interested in World Religions? Take an adult education course which explores the history, development and beliefs of the world’s main religious traditions contributing to NZ society. Friday evenings, 6pm-8pm, in St. George’s Lounge. Starting Friday 16th Feb to Friday 6th April. Cost $80 per term or $65 unwaged. More info at www.rdc.org.nz or speak to John.

Tauranga Moana Interfaith Council invite you to meet the Methodists on Tuesday 27th February at 7pm, St. Stephens Methodist Church, 15 Brookfield Terrace, Tauranga. Who are they? What do they believe? Come and find out.

PARTY! I'm not dead yet - John turns 60 so let’s party!! You are all invited to join some of the Hebenton whanau for lunch after church on Sunday 25th February (so no Lenten study that day – just party). No presents, but if you want to you can give a koha towards the new kitchen. After lunch we are having an "at home" at church - mainly on the deck and the park with snack food and some entertainment finishing with dinner at 6pm.

Parish Coffee Meet: Tuesday, Feb 27th at 10.30am:
For our first coffee meet for 2018 we are meeting at Zest Cafe in Chadwick Rd. Everyone welcome. (Please note the change from 2pm of old to 10.30 am, due to traffic congestion later in the afternoon.)
