THIS SUNDAY we are celebrating St. George’s Day. There will be one service at 9am. Come and join the experience of a traditional High Tea. Sample a selection of savouries, sweet treats, light wines, various teas and coffees. $15 per person. Under 12’s $10. Buy your ticket from the door. We will officially bless and open the kitchen at this celebration. Wear Red and dress up in your finest hats, pearls, bowties, spats.

INVITE: We have been invited by the Tauranga MoanaMâori Mission, (which is comprised of the Tauranga Moana, Te Puke and Maketu mission areas of Te Hui Amorangi o Te Manawa o Te Wheke), to Te Whakamaumaharatanga Kotahi Rau Rima Tekau Tau o Tâmati Tapu – The 150th Sesquicentennial Service of St. Thomas Church, Maketu on Sunday 26th August 2018 at 10 am. We are taking any interested out to the powhiri at Whakaue Marae in Maketu on Saturday 25th August 2018 at 4pm. Please contact John or Jill if you would like to join us.

Parish Coffee Meet. Tuesday 28th August at 10.30am. Meeting at Le Chat Noir in Chadwick Rd. All welcome.

Do you administer communion? Please come to a training meeting on Sunday 2nd September after the 9.30am service to run through the process.

Bonnie is collecting again. Can you please save toilet rolls and paper towel rolls. Also small and large tin foil plates. A box is in church foyer for you to drop them into.

Interested in World Religions? Term 3 classes will focus on the Founder Figures, Image & Iconry, Sacred Space, Prayer, Food, Ritual, Clothing. Beginning on Friday 3rd August, ending 21 Sept on Friday evenings (6:00-8:00pm) for 8-weeks. Held in St. George’s Church Lounge. Cost $80 per term or $65 unwaged. Barbershop Harmony New Zealand and The Bay of Plenty's own Barbershop Chorus “Harmony A Plenty” present “The Musical Island Boys” plus New Zealand's best barbershop quartets and choruses. Saturday Sept 22nd, Holy Trinity Church, Tickets $40 from iticket.co.nz. Doors open at 7pm.

New Zealand as Peacemaker: The Disarmament Story. HE Dell Higgie, NZ Ambassador for Disarmament. 7pm, Thursday, 20th Sept 2018, Wesley Centre, 100 13th Ave, Tauranga. Gold Coin Donation. New Zealand has long had a remarkable record of promoting peace through disarmament internationally and has become highly respected for its efforts. Dell Higgie will be talking to Tauranga about what NZ has and could do to promote disarmament, and how we can contribute.
