NOTICES

  • PARISH LUNCH: Sunday 29th October Parish Luncheon straight after the 9.30am Service. (There will be no morning tea after the service). This is the last social Parish Luncheon for the year and is also a celebration of John being ordained for 30 years!. Menu: Choice of battered fish’nchips, or a helping of home made Gurnard fish bake with crumb topping, served with green salad, followed by a choice of desserts and tea and coffee. All drinks, wine and non alcoholic, included. $15 Ticket to be brought from office, or Maureen Hope on Sundays, before Friday 27th October by 12 noon, for catering purposes. NO TICKET – NO MEAL. We need to know definite numbers for the fish’nchip orders and how much fish bake to make. There is an attendance form with fish dish options to mark, when you buy your ticket. Tickets only available till Friday 27th Oct.


  • Parish Coffee Meet at Quantum Viz, corner of 18th and Cameron Rd at 1.45pm on 24th October 2017. All welcome.


  • All Souls Day Remembrance Service, Sunday 5th November, both 8am & 9.30am services. A time to remember those we love who have died over the last year and give thanks for all they meant to us. We light a candle for them, to represent the light of their life, and our belief we have in the resurrection to eternal life.


  • Prayers for World Peace byTauranga Moana Interfaith Council. Wednesday 18th October at 6.30pm for 7pm. Participating Faiths: Anglican, Baha’i, Catholic, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, Hindu, Hare Krishna, Methodist, Islam, Quaker. Historic Village Hall, 17th Ave. Gold coin entry koha. Please bring a plate of food to share.


  • Top Parish Quiz Night, Make up a team and help us Fundraise for Waiapu Top Parish 2018. Quiz held at St George’s Church Lounge, Saturday 11th November, 7pm. $10 a head.


  • MAF: There is a letter on the noticeboard from Ryan Cameron, based in Arnham, Northern Australia. He is now off to Africa to carry on his ministry and understandably nervous of what he is to encounter.


  • Royal School of Church Music. Sat 28th October at 4:30 pm. $5 per person. Wesley Methodist Church, 13th Avenue, Tauranga. Approx 60 minutes of traditional choral music including Jerusalem and “And the Glory” from the messiah. More details from Vaughan Chetwynd 07 577 6341.


  • The Bible Society Tauranga Action Group will be holding another Event – Celebrating 50 years or more of Marriage and the renewing of your vows. Contact Joy on 541 1725 if you would like to register for the renewal of vows.. When? Sunday 29th October 2017. Time: commencing at 2.00pm.Where? The S D A Church, 25 Moffatt Road Bethlehem. Admission $10.00.
